Scholarship

Every summer the UPE Executive Council awards scholarships of $1,000 to $4,000 to outstanding members, at both undergraduate and graduate level. Members are encouraged to apply.

One undergraduate, one graduate

National accepts one undergraduate and one graduate application per chapter. The chapter picks who goes forward, which is what this form is for.

Deadlines

  • UPE/ACM Scholarship AwardFour awards of $1,500. You must be an ACM student member and a member of your campus ACM student chapter.
  • UPE Scholarship AwardAwards of $1,000 to $4,000, at both undergraduate and graduate level.

Apply to the chapter well before these dates. The officers need time to choose the two nominees and assemble the submission.

What you need

All college-level transcripts
Every institution you have attended, not just Kennesaw State.
A recommendation from the UPE chapter advisor
The application cannot be considered without it.
A statement on your UPE involvement
Your contribution to this chapter, plus academic activities or projects in your department.
A statement on your long-term plans
Where you are going in the computing profession.

An incomplete application cannot be considered. To receive an award you must be enrolled as a regular student when the awards are announced.

The final submission to national goes by email as a single PDF to upe@acm.org. The officers handle that for whoever is selected.

This is the chapter’s own selection. Fill it in and the officers will choose one undergraduate and one graduate to put forward.
